Uses

Smooth-stop indexThe Slider™ camera-movement system allows camera operators to maintain a comfortable position while giving them the ability to adjust and fine-tune the final composition. Shots that are not quite right can be salvaged in a creative manner, a huge bonus in these days of “shoot the rehearsal” filmmaking. When it’s time to reload, the operator simply slides the camera down to the assistant. Once the camera is loaded, the assistant slides it back to the operator where he can replicate or adjust the final composition.

The Slider has a 360-degree locking Mitchell mount which quickly bolts onto dollies, sticks, crane arms, and Condor lifts. It can also “free stand” on the floor. No bagging is necessary. It was designed by grips and cameramen to make it user friendly and bullet proof.

Ask any cameraman, you can never get the camera low enough to the ground. The Slider measures only 2.5 inches from ground to the Mitchell plate. Its unique channel design is the lowest and strongest possible.

The Slider is a “hands-on” piece of equipment, allowing a more organic feel than motion control. You don’t have to be a computer programmer to use it. And the Slider will work in rain or shine, heat or extreme cold. There are no fuses, cables or batteries to deal with.

There’s no manual or rulebook on how to express your creative vision. So bring us your creative challenge and we’ll show you how it can be done. Just call Jerry Giacalone at (805) 496–5289 or Ron Veto at (818) 344–5284.
