Both the 3-Foot and 4-Foot Slider models have a unique smooth-stop index and an adjustable-tension brake you won’t find on any other camera-movement rigs. The operator can preset the start and stop marks to easily replicate the shot.

With the 3-Foot and 4-Foot Slider, you also have the option of being able to move the mounting from the standard center position to an offset position that extends the Slider’s reach. This feature comes in handy when shooting car interiors or tabletop, as it allows the camera to reach deeper into the car or farther across the table.

The 3-Foot and 4-Foot models offer a clever mounting option. Simply remove the ratcheting mount under the Slider and replace it with the Ronford-Baker quick-release wedge plate. Put the fluid head on the dolly, then snap the plate (which is now attached to the Slider) on the head. Now you can pan and tilt the Slider. And in this mode, you can angle the Slider’s x/y position.

Say you need a reveal of a toy on a counter, but you don’t want the camera to just slide straight across the frame. With the Slider, you can move from the bottom of the counter through the product with upward/downward movement. To make a camera drop and move over and over on a tight lens would take a lot of time. It would be a nightmare for everyone, especially the dolly grip. But the Slider makes it easy!
